Cycles, Seasons, & Insights; A Phenology Journal Crafting Workshop

When working with the Earth, we are in tune with “Nature’s Calendar”.

Phenology is the study of cycles that occur seasonally in plants and animals.

We as humans also experience internal cycles and seasons.

“Incorporating self-care that aligns with the changing seasons supports our well-being and connects us to the rhythms of nature. By being attuned to these shifts you can cultivate a more balanced and harmonious life that reflects the beauty and wisdom of the world around you.” -dwhblog.dukehealth.org/

This hybrid experience will guide an exploration and deeper understanding of this concept and how it can be applied inward for regeneration.

Participants will get a foundational understanding of phenology as well as participate in somatic practices to integrate the information and create personal observances that honor and utilize this connection to phenology.

A link to a prepared journal (or a printed copy for additional costs) will be offered to participants who can then create their 3 year journal at home, or additional time can be allotted to create and share our journals during the program.

  • Concept of Phenology

  • Indigenous History and Phenology

  • Examples of botanical drawing

  • Phenology and Critical Applications

  • Catalyzing Connections With The Inner Cycles Through Observing the Natural Cycles

  • The Symbolism of The Wheel (Phenology Wheel/Wheel of the Year)

  • Active/ Creative Time

  • Somatic Movement Practice to Integrate and Catalyze New Connections
