Magic of Breath
This 60-90 minute workshop is part education, part participation, and all about utilizing the breath as a tool for relaxation and stress relief. Participants will learn 4 easy to use breath practices and make personal connections to why and how the breath is a powerful tool to maintain and support overall health and well being. Participants will also take home an info graphic to utilize as they incorporate this simple yet potent self care activity into their daily lives.
90 Minute Restorative Sessions
These sessions are built around the restorative style of yoga, where poses are held at length, breath practices are top priority, and comfort is Queen. Practitioners are guided through several postures and breath practices that are aimed to release deep tension and allow the body to rest in homeostasis to regenerate the body mind and spirit. Blankets, bolsters, eye pillows, essential oils, sound baths, rejuvenation, and gentle guidance are all facilitated to allow the maximum benefits of the practice to integrate. Special themes, targeted practices, and other creative twists are available to fit your group.
Hooping to Health
This workshop is designed to be an afternoon of exploration utilizing the hula hoop as a tool for movement and embodiment. This experience will introduce practitioners to the various movement practices that make up HoopYogini(tm) while taking time to reflect and observe the self in supported space, with trained guidance, and with the help of a workbook. This hybrid workshop incorporates movement and reflection to allow the practitioner to catalyze new internal connections that support health and vitality.
We start the experience learning about what HoopYogini is, who the creatrix is, and why it is so beneficial. The Spinal Awakening Series of HoopYogini is then led to integrate the information.
The next portion of the experience involves personal reflections as we observe our experience to balance, the stories we tell ourselves, and what is currently true for the body, mind, and spirit/soul. After this portion of reflection, the From The Core portion of movement is guided and allows for deeper reflection and connection through movement.
We then move into the “Root Down, Rise Up” portion of the workshop where participants are guided to explore radical acceptance, celebration, and expansion with journal prompts and guidance from the facilitator and the workbook. The ideas and reflections are then catalyzed through the Integrative Cool Down.
The workbook not only is an excellent tool to use during the workshop, but also a supportive guide following the experience. There is a page of extra resources as well as spaces for notes and ideas that will be generated during Q&A and sharing times.
This workshop was designed to catalyze a new path for people who want to stay active, enjoy having fun, and understand the many benefits of caring for the body, mind, and spirit.
