HoopYogini Sessions
HoopYogini sounds more intimidating than it is. We are simply using the hula hoop like we use a block or strap in traditional yoga based practices. Hoop Yoga is easy, great for core strength, and amazing for releasing spinal tension. Plus it’s fun! You don’t have to be able to hula hoop to enjoy and benefit from this class! Hoops are provided. Bring a yoga mat if you have one. Whichever is more supportive; wear sturdy shoes or plan to be barefoot. Comfy clothing that you can move safely in is a must.
No Registration Required
Restorative Sessions
Restorative sessions are slow flow movement practices with extended pauses supported with breathing techniques to target the deep release of tension within the body. Participants can expect to be seated or lying down for the duration of the practice while engaging in accessible poses and breath instruction, and leave feeling deeply relaxed. If you have them, please bring your mat, a blanket, eye pillow, blocks, and other comfort items to utilize for support during practice.

Details to Help Prepare for Class
Where is Lena Dance Company Studio? It is located behind Iron Horse Bar on Railroad Street in Downtown Lena. The address is 141 W Railroad St, Lena IL 61048. The entrance is located near the alley facing the bar/studio parking lot.
Wear comfortable clothing. Super loose clothing can get in the way of easeful movement, while super tight clothing and restrict movement. Find a happy medium, but most importantly dress for comfort and ease of movement.
Is it really all ages? As much as possible. If a participant can hold their attention for the duration of the class, not be disruptive to others and the collective practice, and with reasonable accommodations and modifications can safely participate in the movement- then the age is really irrelevant. I want as many people to get moving how they can, while in the space of being supported and encouraged.
PAYMENTS: At this time cash is Queen. However, in our digitally driven world I will accept payments via cashapp or venmo. Personal check accepted if necessary.
You are welcome to pay in advance for the month or for all/any Jan-April sessions you plan to attend. This will guarantee your spot, offer yourself some accountability, and is sometimes the way people like to invest. Please keep in mind that there are no refunds.
Registration will be required for special events with payment being due at time of registration (Registration can be done either online or through direct message) Again, no refunds.
There will be no registration requirement for the Restorative or HoopYogini classes, however it is always helpful to me during planning to know ahead of time that you are joining class. You can email me to let me know your coming, or shoot me a direct message on FB or IG. OOORR: Just show up, pay the fee, and enjoy the class.
Water is encouraged. Beverages are to be in a container with a lid.
Bring your own mat and props if you have them. I have a limited amount of mats to loan out.
RESTORATIVE: Bring a blanket and other comfort items to help create your yoga nest. I have yoga blankets available, a limited amount of blocks and a few extra mats. If you don’t have these things, THAT’S OK! I will happily lend out what I have available.
HOOPYOGINI: I have plenty of hula hoops for all participants. Feel free to bring an adult sized hula hoop if you have one. We do not use weighted hoops, so please do not bring those. A yoga mat will likely be useful. Wear some type of athletic shoe if you prefer more support, but also know you are welcome to go barefoot.
Please arrive aprox. 10 minutes before start time. The door will be locked 5 minutes after class starts. Please allow 5-10 minutes following class to regroup. (If class ends at 6:30, you will still need to account for the time between leaving the mat, exiting the building, bathroom stop, and getting into the car.)
