Garden Gate: Summer Community Garden Experience

A Place to grow, a place to be, a place to connect in community.

Vision: 

Do you want to garden? Do you love fresh picked veggies, fruit, flowers, and herbs? Do you have too many things going on to start your own garden? Do you wish you had a garden but don’t have the time to consistently tend it? Do you have mobility limitations that make it hard to keep up with a garden?  Do you have no idea where to start? Do you want to enjoy the garden and its abundance without some of the stress?

The garden gate will be swung wide open ready to welcome you in, hand you a tool, and put you to work! Perhaps you want to come and sit and enjoy the garden. Maybe you come play for an hour and then head on with your day.

The vision is a gathering time for all people alike. Experienced and “retired” gardeners, newbies, those who just want to garden but life has other plans….etc….

I want to call in and cultivate a little “garden community” where we all can find the nourishment we need, the connections we crave (with human, plant, soil, seed, mycelium…etc) and the awe and wonder of witnessing nature in all her majesty.  I want this to be a garden event that creates more accessibility and connection to anyone who wants to learn, grow, and be nourished by the abundance of the Earth.

The evening will kick off at 6pm with a half hour HoopYogini style stretch and breath session; followed by gardening and meditative immersion time.
